Preparing you to be a medical registrar simulation training

All second year North West London core medicine trainees must undertake mandatory simulation training to prepare you for a medical registrar role.  During the training you’ll take part in different exercises including: team management during an acute take, clinic simulation, communication skills and mannequin based training.  It will also cover the following core medicine curriculum areas:

  • Time management and decision making
  • Decision making and clinical reasoning
  • The patient as central focus of care
  • Prioritisation of patient safety in clinical practice
  • Team working and patient safety
  • Communication with colleagues and cooperation
  • Personal behaviour
