Training the trainers of tomorrow

Our ‘training the trainers of tomorrow’ (T4) programme has been developed to ensure North West London faculty staff and trainees have up-to-date clinical teaching skills and adhere to GMC training standards. The programme has also been set to improve the quality of postgraduate medical training and patient safety across the region. The training is delivered locally by highly experienced clinical trainers, specialty tutors and higher trainees.

T4 training has four levels:

  • Level one is a customised introduction to supervision and leadership and is suitable for core trainees
  • Level two is suitable for clinical supervisors and senior registrars (ST5+)
  • Level three is suitable for educational supervisors and those continuing professional development (CPD)
  • Level four is a master class

Levels two and three are accredited for continual professional development (CPD) points. The GMC will require documented proof of completion for your appraisal and revalidation.
