Diabetes & Endocrinology

Diabetes & Endocrinology trainee with patient

The North West London diabetes and endocrinology postgraduate training programme is one of the most popular rotations in the county.

Our trainees receive a good combination of general and sub-specialty training. Trainees usually start their training at a District General Hospital (DGH) and spend on average two years in basic endocrinology, diabetes and general internal medicine. Many trainees then proceed to undertake academic research and obtain a higher degree, and furthermore trainees can choose to move onto a clinical lecturer position.
