The North West London histopathology postgraduate programme delivers comprehensive education and training in a dynamic environment.

Our trainees get lots of hands on experience in a range of sub-specialities, and build their management skills. The programme is centred at the pathology department at Imperial College Healthcare, where approximately 60,000 surgical specimens, 70,000 gynae-cytology specimens and 11,000 non-gynae cytology specimens are examined each year.. The department also provides diagnostic services for Imperial College Healthcare hospitals, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and GPs in North West London, as well as referral diagnostic services for other sub-specialties and other trusts in the region.

Trainees also have access to a £2million state-of-the-art molecular pathology unit which was funded by the National Institute of Health Research.
